You may have some questions about your upcoming visit to Sonoma Valley Oral Surgery & Dental Implants. We’re here to help. Your first visit is an important appointment because it allows Dr. Boynton to personally examine your condition and create a customized treatment plan based on your individual needs. Dr. Boynton will listen to your concerns about your oral health, review your medical history, and will provide a complete oral examination.
While some simple procedures may be performed on the same day as the first visit, most patients will need to return to our practice for their oral surgery procedure.
When you arrive at our practice, we will need you to check in and complete additional paperwork. Please give yourself some extra time by arriving early to your first appointment.
To ensure we make the most of your appointment, please remember to bring the following items with you:
- Referral slip
- Any diagnostic images, such as X-rays and 3D scans, from your general dentist or referring specialist
- Health and/or dental insurance information
- List of current medications (heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.)
- Valid form of identification, such as a driver’s license
- Form of payment (cash, check, credit card)
Any patient under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present for this first appointment at Sonoma Valley Oral Surgery & Dental Implants.
Just like with any surgery, some medical conditions may be of concern prior to oral surgery. To ensure your safety and provide the best course of treatment for you, please inform us of any medical conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, artificial valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc. Certain medical conditions may be of concern prior to oral surgery.
Please contact Sonoma Valley Oral Surgery & Dental Implants if you have any questions or concerns about your first appointment with us. We look forward to meeting you.
